Patna: Coming down heavily on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, noted lawyer and former BJP leader Ram Jethmalani on Sunday urged the people to defeat the BJP-led NDA in the Bihar Assembly elections.
Jethmalani, known for his vocal stand on various issues, urged the people to vote for Nitish Kumar, the chief ministerial candidate of the alliance of the Janata Dal-United, the RJD and the Congress.
"Today I am doing penance for what I did by promoting Narendra Modi as the leader of the country (before the Lok Sabha polls). I thought that God has sent him as his 'Aulia' (representative) for India's salvation...How I became the victim of fraud," says senior lawyer Ram Jethmalani.
